As a certified high school teacher, I have achieved many experiences and satisfactions. I have worked with students in Puerto Rico, and at different states in the US. I taught English, Math, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Environmental Sciences at the secondary level. I have worked with Special Education students in my country. I believe that everyone has the right to learn and everyone has that ability, but the student must demonstrate interest, a proper attitude, and effort to reach the academic standards. I will be using different strategies until I find the one that works for the student according to the his/her need. I look forward to hearing from you!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have been a teacher for 23 years. I believe that I have enough experience in teaching. My goal is to help students improve their skills and motivate them. They must know that anyone can learn and accomplish their dreams if they work hard and have a positive state of mind. They can improve their grades. During school year 1990-91, I taught English from first to fourth grade at Punta Santiago, PR. I have the experience working with children. I can review with them each class and help by using positive reinforcements. I can also use art, music, and reading.
As part of the requirements for my bachelor's degree in Biology, I took Genetics in the University of PR. I taught genetics in the biology class at the high school. I had been teaching science for 23 years. I taught genetics in Milwaukee and in PR schools.
Zoology was required for my bachelor's degree. As a biology teacher I taught zoology, botany, genetics, microbiology, anatomy, and cellular biology. I had been teaching biology at the middle school and high school level since August 1989.
