I can help develop your test-taking skills in the LSAT. I offer 1-hour lessons however, due to the pandemic, all lessons will be done virtually.

Nobody likes standardized tests, especially the LSAT. However, test-taking is a skill that can be learned. Together we can work towards your LSAT goal. I studied at Northwestern University's Bienen School of Music, enrolled in a dual degree program with a Bachelor of Music and a Bachelor of Arts. I am finishing my artist diploma at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Toronto Canada and will go to law school in the fall to combine my music background with the legal field. I hope to follow my dream as an arts advocate and I can help you develop the skills necessary to pursue a legal career.

For any new students, I like to start with a quick diagnostic exam before we go over their strengths and weaknesses. Then we will discuss their goals, timeline, and a long-term strategy to achieve their ideal score.

I do my best to be flexible with time. While I have a 24-hour cancellation policy, I can often offer make-up lessons.

In addition to provide historical context for composers, such as Mozart, Beethoven, and Bach. I can even provide in-depth knowledge on the predecessors to modern day instruments, such as the shawm to the oboe.

I have been playing the clarinet for 12 years, have studied with clarinetists from the Chicago Symphony, Metropolitan Opera, The Juilliard School, and Northwestern University. I have also been to numerous festivals and played with various professional, collegiate, and youth orchestras. I have taught clarinet to students as young as 2nd grade up to highschool seniors. I am extremely passionate about classical music and would like to foster this passion in other children as well. I am happy to provide examples of my playing.

I have studied solfege/ear training for 6 years. I have trained in fixed-do solfege as well as movable-do solfege. I am confident that I can teach the ability to determine a note just by listening to it. In addition to this I can teach the ability to determine the quality of a chord as well as rhythmic dictation.

Great tutor

Calvin really helps me to understand why answer choices are correct and incorrect, and he teaches easy-to-use skills/techniques to tackle even the most challenging questions. Two session in and I already see some improvements, and I can’t wait to continue working with him until my February exam.
