My Name is Siaka K. I currently reside in West Palm Beach Florida. I am currently Adjunct Professor of Mathematics and Statistics at the Palm Beach State College and Barry University. I hold a Ph.D in Engineering with applied maths and Statistics and a Masters Degree in Engineering from the University of Florida, Gainesville, and a Bachelor Degree in Engineering. Most of my undergraduates classes in maths and statistics were at the AP levels. I could provide degrees if necessary.

I have more than 21 years of experience in teaching and tutoring mathematics and statistics. I am a trained math teacher with more than 18 credits at the graduate level. I'm currently teaching as an adjunct instructor and tutor at Barry University and palm beach state college. As mentioned earlier I have taught in both institution for more than 21 years. The joy to see the students "getting it" and making progress are very appealing to me. I have the ability to simplify math and mathematics concepts and make them readily understandable by students.

I like to listen to the students or their parents to correctly assess the student needs so that I can administer to their needs effectively. From experience I noticed that students tend to rush in working class assignments without a thorough understanding of the maths concepts taught in class. I generally found out that spending about 20 minutes or more on class concepts can go a long way helping understanding and solving problem on hand.

I have a very strong background in maths and statistics and I love teaching those subjects and make them easy to understand. I have more than 18 credit hours in graduate level mathematics and statistics.

You getting it is my joy. You will not regret calling or working with me. Success is on the way. Additional information is available if needed.

Dr. Siaka K.

Statistics

I have extensive training in probability and statistics. I have more than 18 hours of graduate school training in statistics. I studied statistics as part of my undergraduate curriculum and as course subjects for both my masters degree in engineering as well as for the Ph.D. I been teaching statistics for the last 21 years at the college level. I know the key concepts of statistics as well as knowledge of technology such as the use of TI-83/84 calculators to solve statistics problems. I am also familiar with the EXCEL statistical package. I also know the very versatile statistics software packages such as SAS and SPLUS. Through my career (teaching/Tutoring) I have faced several students that really dreaded statistics and had written notes to advise me about their incompetencies in statistics. However after class those students got As or Bs. I am a very patient instructor and take time to understand the students' concerns before using my skills in statistics to help them. I am not just a theoretical statistics teacher. I have been a consultant to States and private enterprises and helped them analyze their statistical data. My vast training and experience allow me to capably assist students and attend to their needs.

Algebra 2,

Algebra 2

I have extensive experience teaching and tutoring algebra 1 and algebra 2. I have more than 18 hours of graduate school training in mathematics. I studied algebra as part of my undergraduate curriculum and as course subjects for both my masters degree in engineering as well as for the Ph.D. Algebra has always been one of my favorite math subjects since middle school. My first exposure to tutoring was helping my fellow students with algebra problems. Then from high school I was always in AP Maths classes. This continued in college. In my first year in college I was in advanced math class called "superior mathematics" and the second year "special Mathematics". In those classes did more advanced studies of algebra. This math training help me get a Masters of Engineering and a Ph.D in Engineering from the University of Florida Gainesville. My training in algebra and my love for teaching the subject has led me to teach algebra as adjunct professor for 21 years. Through my career (teaching/Tutoring) I have faced several students that really dreaded algebra. However after class those students got As or Bs. I am a very patient instructor and take time to understand the students' concerns before using my skills in algebra to help them
Geometry,

Geometry

I have extensive training in geometry. I have more than 18 hours of graduate school training in mathematics. I studied geometry as part of my undergraduate curriculum and as course subjects for both my masters degree in engineering as well as for the Ph.D. My interest in geometry started way back in 9th grade when I was helping my fellow students with geometry problems. I had a friend who was so frustrated with his struggles in geometry that he said that he did not believe in geometry (in other words he put geometry as something that could only be understood by faith). I can therefore I when somebody is frustrate with geometry. It is not that geometry is more difficult than other math subjects, but the importance of knowing theorems if not clearly understood by a lot of students. My training in geometry includes: Descriptive geometry, vectors and analytical geometry. I have the ability to use concepts such as planes, lines, angles and surfaces that sometimes seem abstract to students and make them real to them. In geometry theorems, postulates and laws are so important that a student cannot succeed if attention is not given to understanding the concepts that I just mentioned. I usually help students with concepts before working problems. Through my career (teaching/Tutoring) I have faced several students that really dreaded geometry. However after class those students got As or Bs. I am a very patient instructor and take time to understand the students' concerns before using my skills in geometry to help them.

Very knowledgeable

I really appreciate Dr. Kone's method of teaching. It was very effective with my learning style. He was patient with me and broke things down to me, to where I could understand and apply his concepts. Thank you. Dr. Kone

Great lesson

Great lesson. I am feeling a bit more confidant about my statistical abilities and my probability of passing this class, no pun intended.

Great Tutor!

Siaka was very helpful tutoring statistics. He started with the basics of each concept and builded to more complicated and in-depth examples which proved I new the concept and how to apply it. Very helpful!
