About Brian

I'm a rising sophomore at the University of Florida with a major in Physics, and I graduated from Suncoast Community High School from the Computer Science program. The only thing I enjoy more than learning new things is teaching people new things. Throughout high school, I was a member of the competitive math club and coached our Statistics team. I regularly tutored students of all mathematical abilities in topics ranging from Algebra 1 to Calculus. I was also a member of the Science Honor Society and the Physics Club, through which I provided help to students in a variety of science courses.

I love working with students of all ages and their parents. I enjoy tutoring because I love to see improvements in the students' understanding of the material. I find it incredibly rewarding to find that I can encourage others to further their learning and passion for a topic.

In terms of courses, I have experience in tutoring Algebra I, Algebra II, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus I, II, and III, and Discrete Mathematics. I achieved a math SAT subscore of 780, and I am a recognized National Merit Scholar Finalist for my achievement on the PSAT & SAT.

I look forward to getting to meet you and working with you!

Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Calculus

I have taken four Calculus classes and performed well in each of them. The classes were AP Calculus, BC Calculus (both of which I scored a '5' on the AP Exam of), Calculus II, and Calculus III. During junior year, I had the highest grade in my AP Calculus class and tutored students regularly.

SAT Math

I received the National Merit Finalist honor for my score on the PSAT, and achieved a 780 Math subscore on the SAT. I also scored a 780 on the Math II SAT subject test. I've helped friends through practice tests and I am familiar with the many types of problems that can be presented.
