I have played chess for my whole life and am in the top 0.5% of players on Chess.com (above 99.5% of players). My current rating at 1840 in rapid. I am passionate about teaching and learning chess. I live in West Palm Beach, Florida, and have played in tournaments with Master level players involved. I value breaking down complex ideas into simple, basic principles that build off one another. Chess can be complicated, and I know I can help students become better at every aspect of the game: openings, tactics, endgames, and everything in between. In chess, it is important to make decisions and learn the best approach individually. Providing questions to direct the lesson in a way that allows my students to figure out the right moves for themselves is a high priority to me.

Beyond chess, I am myself a dedicated student and learner as well, graduating summa cum laude from Palm Beach Atlantic University with a Bachelor's degree in Biblical Studies in May 2023. My time at university has shown me the impact a good professor, mentor, or tutor can have on a student, so I seek to step into this role for my own students. I know the value of being approachable and friendly with students while still providing stimulating lessons.
