I am very interested in working as a TV production Tutor. I have 25 years of experience shooting and editing video in a fast paced, demanding environment. I left the news business searching for this type of position. The new challenges and responsibilities this job offers sounds like an opportunity that can be beneficial to both my student and me.
My years of experience in the news business have given me the ability to deal with a wide range of people and situations. In college at WUFT-TV, and at my job at TV 20 in Gainesville I have experience with maintaining lighting and studio inventory, loading and unloading trucks, setting up lights and stands, executing lighting plots, ensuring safety on the set as well as maintenance of company vehicles. I was also responsible for the care and maintenance of all production field equipment including: cameras, recorders, audio equipment, monitors, batteries and all lighting equipment.
My work at Fox-13 consisted of shooting and editing the news story of the day. Most of the shooting took place in the field. However, there were times I had to shoot content in the studio. Most of the editing took place in the station but several times a week I had to edit in the field and do live shots.
My years of experience from WUFT-TV in college through my experiences at Fox 13 news add up to someone who will be a very knowledgeable and experienced tutor I look forward to hearing from you so that we can begin a very productive relationship.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
