Everyone likes to be successful! Tutoring is a field with double rewards -- your success is my success, and that describes my approach. My promise to you is that we will work together toward your success.
I have a bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in electrical engineering, as well as certification in ophthalmic lab technology, and have taught for several years in technology centered education. My catalog of qualifications includes all math, engineering core courses and higher level electronics. I have written courses in algebra, circuit analysis and design, and have acted as SME (subject matter expert) in several related topics like blueprint reading and fire and security alarm technology.
My approach to education is to start where the student is intellectually, through questioning and conversation, and then continue with regard to course objectives. In addition to my very strong background in math and science, I bring compassion and excellent rapport with students, comprehensive background in learning theory, and excellent moral compass.
I teach math as an elegant model of the world around us. As an example, when I teach the Fibonacci sequence I have the students graph the sequence to see the spiral grow, as in the chambered nautilus.
I am accomplished in in circuit analysis techniques, and have comprehensive knowledge and experience in both analog and digital electronics, in communication and in logic selection.
Teaching mathematics and engineering topics is a dream job for me, and I like to share my knowledge toward the goal of student success . . . and I got a perfect score on the math portion of the GRE.
