About Vincent

Hello, Fellow Students! I would like to introduce myself. My name is Vince and I am what they call a "lifelong learner". During my undergraduate years, I enjoyed studying chemistry, physics, biology, and music. I joined the military after receiving my degree in chemistry and have enjoyed serving as an officer for the last 16+ years. Along that journey, I have tutored students in high school, assisted junior military members in furthering their education, and also volunteered to help students at our local church.

I am currently pursuing my Doctor of Education in Leadership Studies from Creighton University. This 3rd year will be interesting, with my dissertation work beginning shortly. As I progressed in this program, I realized another passion besides learning new concepts. I enjoy sharing my past experiences with young people and helping those who have a strong desire to learn - just like me! I'm looking forward to this opportunity to assist you in obtaining your academic goals.

Math has always been one of my favorite subjects and I have a talent for understanding and solving problems. My desire is to share my aptitude with others in order to keep math topics relevant. I have completed courses at all levels, including college calculus (with differentials).

My undergraduate degree is in chemistry. My strongest area of concentration would be inorganic, as well as conducting chemistry labs and its overall importance to understanding the experimental process.

Along with my MBA, I have just over 16 years of budget and financial experience in military and government contracting work. I enjoy working with numbers and understanding the use of projections and the time-value of money.

I have a minor in music and studied at the Cleveland Institute of Music during my high school and college years, to include music history and theory. I have played the piano for a number of years and desire to share my affinity with young, aspiring pianists.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
