My professional career has been primarily focused in the Corporate Training, Development, and Consulting industries, and I would love the opportunity to apply my enthusiasm for education and individual learning development with private students, or in a group learning environment.
My past career experience has enabled me to obtain a wide array of knowledge that has allowed me to grow as a professional. With a strong background in Logistics, Management and Supervision, Higher Education, Consulting, and Human Resource Management, I am fully capable of contributing to your education. As the Human Resources Director in my previous job, I consistently managed workplace concerns and oversaw HR processes. As a Consultant in Training and Development, I was able to consult with and develop some of the top professional executives in Japan, such as the Partners/CEOs of PricewaterhouseCoopers, the Vice President of Actelion Pharmaceuticals, and several other executives of corporations including Mitsubishi, SATO Group, Toshiba, and many others. I taught students and executives in Japan (in a corporate and university environment) for over three years and have a unique understanding and appreciation for culture and learning methodology.
What I will bring to the table as a tutor and mentor is a consistently positive attitude, subject matter knowledge, and highly effective communication skills and methods. I have an excellent record of generating creative and innovative ideas. My dedication to professionalism and excellence has been noted by all my previous employers. My world travels and career experiences in international markets has also molded my unique perspective on business. I have excelled as the Human Resources Director at Phoenix Consulting, Inc. and have assisted this corporation in becoming a world class leader in customized consulting and development. I would be honored to share my experiences and knowledge to help develop and mentor others.
I've been teaching English (ESL) to Japanese students for 4 years. I am well qualified to teach ESL to those students with a basic English proficiency level. I've also been a university adjunct professor for several years. I've taught basic courses, such as Oral/Written Communication and English Grammar, to more advanced level courses in undergraduate business.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
