University of Miami (Biology)
A little about myself, I graduated from the University of Miami in 2013 with a degree in Biology and minors in sociology, chemistry and music. I have been accepted to graduate school for physician assistant studies which I will begin in June 2016 :)
As for tutoring, I have been intermittently tutoring since high school for a wide range of ages (5-56 years of age). I have also taught and been successful with students with learning deficits such as ADHD and ADD. I was titled "top tutor" at my latest tutoring company because my students tend to jump to letter grades after working with me for just two months. My teaching strategies include equal parts of motivation, dedication, and stressing that hard work will always pay off. I find that these have caused the success in my students as well as the success of my tutoring abilities. I also find stressing the areas of chapters that I know students tend to have more difficulty with is also a great contributor to their progress. I highly enjoy tutoring and I look forward to continuing in the Tampa area. Please feel free to contact me for more information or any other questions you may have.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
