I am an experienced professor who has taught in many different situations and locations. I have worked as a public speaking professor at several accredited colleges as I have a master's degree in Communication. I have also worked as an English professor overseas, including teaching English Composition at a college in Ecuador and also tutoring in English language skills to a variety of ages (5-55) while living in South Korea. I volunteered for several years at an excellent International School while living with my family in Germany, mainly helping with reading skills in my daughter's elementary classroom. I tutored high schoolers in advanced English speaking and writing skills while living as a diplomat spouse in Panama from 2016-2021. I enjoy using hands-on and conversational teaching techniques to engage my students, help put them at ease and ensure information is understood and retained.
I also have extensive experience assisting my professional husband with his report writing and presentations, proofreading many professional documents, editing presentation outlines and visual aids, and offering advice about presentation skills.
I am currently a stay at home mom with a student at Plant High School, and I would love to help students of all ages to improve their English writing skills, prepare for public speaking, or practice their conversational English. I have an approved background check in order to volunteer at Patel Conservatory and I hold an active government security clearance.
My rates are on the lower side simply because of a motivation to work, rather than a great need to earn.
I have a Masters Degree in Communication, have taught college level Public Speaking and English Composition, have published material both academic and creative, and have worked as a freelance editor.
