Penn State University (History and Psych)
Penn State Dickinson School of Law (J.D.)
American History is my passion. I often get lost in the many exciting stories of our past! However, I understand that this passion is not shared by all and others may struggle. What I hope to get out of this experience to help my students fare better in their history related subjects while showing them that History isn't all boring.
While in school, I naturally excelled in social studies and history because that is where my interest lied. However, there were many subjects where I struggled, but was able to do well because of the tutoring I received. I understood that the quality of the instructor mattered more than how interesting or boring the subject was.
I hope that I can do for my potential students, what many tutors and professors had done for me. I want to pay it forward.
I care about the quality of my sessions and it is important that my students receive the level of tutoring service they expect. I offer an initial free consultation.
I am a practicing attorney. English is my most necessary skill. Also, I am a first generation Indian American, so I am familiar with TOEFL through helping my mother and extended family understand English for persons who are not native English speakers.
I have a degree from Penn State University in History. My GPA in the program is a 3.3. It is my passion.
I am flexible with my hours. The only limitations I have is that the tutoring time be restricted to the evenings on weekdays.
Flexible. Can work around student's preference.
I require a 24 hour cancellation notice for weekend appointments and a 2 hour cancellation notice for weekday appointments. I offer makeup sessions.
I look forward to meeting you! Together, we can move forward on the road to success! American History is my passion. I often get lost in the many exciting stories of our past! In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
