Designing and developing electronic products as both a solo digital design engineer and as member of multiple design teams has been a cornerstone of my career. From authoring reviews, test documentation, and product proposals to supervising outside talent in design and simulation techniques, I have helped advance the objectives of my employers. I am now looking to bring my skills and experience to work for you in a new and challenging position.
I was the only design engineer with a mere BSEE from UNH amongst engineers holding MSEE and PhD degrees from MIT, Stanford, Berkley and other more prestigious schools. I was also the only digital designer amongst a group of analog designers. I worked alone as a design team of one for ten years and know how to teach myself and learn the skills I need to get the work done.
I have done some tutoring in math and science from my time at Vermont Technical College years ago, including teaching someone with autism, along with study groups using my notes. I also mentored an engineer in digital design. I know how to teach and motivate people.
I am currently substitute teaching all levels K-12.
As, I hope, is recognized by the above, I am well equipped with the experience, and knowledge necessary to become a key contributor to you or to your child's success. For a more detailed illustration of my background, please see the enclosed resume and feel free to contact me at your earliest convenience.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I'm teaching as a substitute at K-12 schools. I actually just finished an assignment teaching 3-4 math and science today (10/15/15)! The kids were actually happy because I explained things to them and didn't just throw assignments at them.
I've been taking work all across different age ranges. I was recently hired to teach MS Science, but resigned because I was not ready for a whole classroom. I'm trying to get experience controlling a whole classroom first, before interviewing again. I am also trying to see what grades I like teaching best.
Kids have virtually the same questions about math as adults.
