I have over 20 years of playing experience along with my Master's degree in Cello performance from the Ufa States Academy of Arts in Russia. I was playing in the National Symphony Orchestra as well as in various ensembles and as a soloist.
My first teaching experience comes from the high school years. My teacher asked me to cover him for a couple weeks with beginner students (6-9 year old kids). Then when I graduated from the high school and started my Bachelor's I started to work at this school as a part-time teacher. After that, during my Master's I got a Teaching Assistantship.
All students have different personalities, and I teach everyone by individual methods:
For beginning students I always make lesson as a game to interest them with funny stories and songs. Once student has progressed and is interested in playing cello, not games, I start to study with him/her more serious repertoire like easy classical pieces and some popular kid's songs. When students are ready I will prepare them for their first recital in family circle or at the school presentation. For advanced students I can help to improve their playing technique with scales and etudes and also I can help in the development of concertos, sonatas and other works as a tutor. If you are not currently a student of music school we can start our own study program.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
