University of South Florida (Italian)
(1) University of South Florida (Master's)
I have been teaching ESOL/ESL adults for the past 5 years and have enjoyed it tremendously. I am currently finished my masters degree in Foreign Language Education where I specialized in teaching Italian for students k-12 as well as ESOL/ESL students. I find teaching to be one of the best things I could have done with life by giving students the gift of communication in a language that is not their own. The world is getting smaller and smaller and being able to communicate in a second language, I believe, is one of the keys to success. Whether learning the language is for travel, employment, school or simply for the pleasure of learning a new language. My students come from all around the world and I have enjoyed getting to know about them and their cultures and teaching them to communicate effectively in a second language.
Learning a second language should be enjoyable. I do not believe in making learning a language something that becomes tedious or troublesome. Students should feel comfortable and not afraid of making mistakes and I encourage students to make mistakes because we learn through our mistakes, just like with everything else. I hold myself up to a high standard because I want my students to know that they are going to receive the best instruction that I can deliver. If my students have any concerns, thoughts or suggestions, I am more than willing to work together with them so that they have an enjoyable and satisfying experience.
We can have classes via online, at your residence, a public place(i.e. library etc.) or even at my residence. Whatever is more convenient and comfortable for you.
If you would like to learn more about what is being offered, feel free to contact me at your convenience. Currently I am only available for instruction in the evenings due to other obligations. I look forward to hearing from you.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
