Bio

Besides a Master's degree in Teaching English as a Foreign Language, I'm internationally certified (CELTA certificate), which enables me to teach students from any part of the world. My teaching experience is 13 years. I will be glad to help you with your language need exams-TOEFL or Cambridge exams. We will work on all the skills - reading, speaking, writing, listening, and we will master Grammar.

If you need to prepare for ASVAB, I prepare for the language portions of the exam - Paragraph Comprehension and Word Knowledge parts.

Students are very different people. Some of them like to read or only listen to new information. All of them need a unique approach and every student has their own goals to learn English. I think that an excellent teacher has to be an understanding person, he or she has to be able to find a common language. For example, I like to change different methods and themes of lessons.

I think that Olga could find the optimal way to learn English for me. We have audio and reading lessons, we discuss different themes about work, life and etc. We try to learn and revise new words in the lessons. In addition, Olga corrects my mistakes very efficiently and professionally. I freely tell Olga my expectations from lessons. She has never lost her temper, she is an inspiring and open-minded teacher.

What about my results? Hm… It' s a little difficult to evaluate myself. I think I find it easier to speak and understand English but listening skills still need much work. And I need to listen more in English, train and revise new information everyday.

I can prepare for the language part of the exam, it's a very simple part of the test and as a linguist I found it very easy when taking it myself. Other parts I didn't find too easy though, but students sometimes get different tutors to work on different parts. For example, when I prepare for students for SAT - they usually work with an expert in Math and separately with a language teacher on the language and essay part.

Experienced Tutor!!

From Oxford testing center to TOFEL exam, Ms. Olya is a really experienced tutor which she can quickly find my mistake and teach me how to improve them. Only with in a hour, we were able to get through reading, writing, and speaking. I enjoy her teaching and I found it really helpful.

Amazing tutor

She noticed where I was failing in my toefl test. She pointed it out. And we started creating a plan to fix my grammar. As well we practice reading, speaking and writing. She has amazing skills to guide and let you see those little details. I felt comfortable and motivated with her to do better.
