Florida Gulf Coast University (Math)
Hello! I'm a math geek studying Computer Science at USF, with a Biomedical Physics minor. I also have a B.S. in Mathematics from FGCU. I love helping people with math, and tutoring is a very rewarding process for me.
I like to approach tutoring in a casual way, while keeping on track with what needs to be done. I try to help students gain an interest in what they are doing, and show them how math/physics can solve some really cool problems. I think the best thing I have learned from my teachers in college is that when you have an interest in a subject, it gets much easier, and you are more willing to put the necessary work in.
Experience has shown me that my strength is working with people who are frustrated, but willing to learn. My calm, knowledgeable approach works well in these situations.

I called Bryan after I did very poorly on my first Calculus test. I ended up getting a 94% in the class! I also referred him to a couple of my friends that were pleased with him as well. Smart guy, easy to talk to.
Very patient when solving problems. Makes sure to break it down in several ways to ensure complete understanding on my part.
Our son just loves Bryan! He is learning so much more than we expected. Bryan is very creative in his teaching process, which has made learning so much fun. Our son cannot wait until his next lesson! Bryan is top notch, and we are so happy we found him.
Bryan explained things in clear terms and was very helpful with study strategies. He made a difficult subject easier to grasp.
Thank you for your help.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received A's in Calculus 1-3, and earned a Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics. Calculus is my favorite subject to tutor, and I would love to help you understand it. Usually, students fall behind, and become overwhelmed. I like to patiently build students up from the basics, and help them get on the right track.
Prealgebra can be confusing at first, but once you get the hang of it, it becomes MUCH easier. With subjects like this, I believe that everyone has the potential to fully understand it, and so my role as a tutor is simply to help you get over the sometimes difficult initial learning period, and help you get on track.
I come from an engineering background (in school), and Trigonometry is used heavily in that field. The proper use of trigonometric identities can greatly simplify real world problems, and they are well worth the time spent studying them.
My primary experience in Trigonometry has been in physics classes, and calculus. Trigonometry is a foundational part of those classes.
