##### About Daniel

I have been freelance tutoring for 6 years and have 1 year of formal instruction at a privately owned center, where I worked with pupils aged between 3 and 18 years old. Most of my freelance work has centered around SAT/standardized test prep. I am currently pursuing a graduate degree in applied and computational math and my wish is to spend my life broadening the horizons of mathematical knowledge while sharing my insights with others.

I obtained my Bachelor's degree in mathematics from Boston College in 2015 and proceeded to spend a year as an instructor in a tutoring center before moving to Tallahassee to pursue a graduate degree and future in mathematics. I have worked with a wide range of strudents (pre-school to college level) and have developed a deep understanding of the importance in teaching to the students needs and learning style.

Most importantly, I am fanatically passionate about math and have spent my whole life exploring it's many concepts from every angle possible. It is something that I appreciate deeply and consider a source of joy. I know that every person in the world has the ability to access and understand the wonderful truths it holds if they are simply presented with the information in the most suitable way and given the proper motivation.

My instructional aim is and always has been to balance making math fun and understandable with an expectation of serious effort/energy to overcome whatever academic obstacles may exist.

I have extensive experience in tutoring precalc/algebra/trigonometry (especially for test prep) as well as both calculus 1 and 2. I am also extremely knowledgable in upper level collegiate subjects and mathematical/statistical programming languages such as R, Python (Numpy), C++, and Julia. Geometry and pure math in general are also passions of mine. I have completed four 200+ level courses in calculus / linear algebra/ differential equation - based physics and have a strong grasp on the mathematical underpinnings of the physical sciences.

At the root of it, I'm a "nerd" who has taken enough math classes to truly understand how difficult and frustrating it can be at times. But I also understating how rewarding of a feeling it is when the key concepts click as well as his critical this discipline has been throughout history and seems to be on pace to remain for the years to come. I'm an easy going and very relatable guy who is honestly dedicated to helping others gain an understanding and appreciation of mathematics. I am extremely devoted when it comes to my pupils and will go above and beyond to ensure their success. That said, I expect nothing but the most sincere and persistent effort in return, because there never has been and never will be any valid substitute for hard work.
