Florida Stat University (English)
Hello. My name is Joseph. I am an alumni of Florida State University. While my endeavors in college, I majored in English Literature and Writing, with a minor in History. With this in mind, I had a professor who saw a potential in my tutoring abilities and asked me to help "teach" his class. So, when we were introduced to a new author every week, my professor asked me to create a PowerPoint presentation of said author, and present it to the class.
Outside of my PowerPoint presentations, I have never been a teacher, but I have tutored many students at Florida State. I was hired by the Reading and Writing Center located in the English building of FSU. There, I learned how to become an excellent tutor prior to my experience before FSU. While my few semesters there, and a few years doing my freelance tutoring, I have been tutoring for almost 6 years now. Tutoring has always been a good thing for me, and I have always enjoyed it.
With my Bachelor's Degree in English Literature and Writing, I have learned many different forms of essays, arguments, styles, forms of writings, and one of the most important aspects of all, how to formulate and organize your thoughts onto paper.
Not only that, I have been hired by two colleges as a tutor. I have worked a year a piece and have received excellent feedback, and learned many different teaching and tutoring techniques so students can reach their potential. With that, I have been contacted by many students with many different backgrounds that range of high school English to PhD Mathematics when it comes to writing a paper. So I can say my experience and how to teach an individual is top notch.
I encourage you to contact me if you have any trouble with a paper, or proofreading, or anything when it comes to English. As mentioned, I have a good amount of experience, I work with you, not just talk to you. I help you understand what you need to do, I guide you throughout your writing. Not just tell you what is right and wrong. Having a one-on-one session is the best way to learn. Hello. My name is Joseph. I am an alumni of Florida State University. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
