My primary motivation as a teacher is to teach my students how to effectively articulate themselves in a way that makes them successful in school, on the job and in day to day communications. I have 14 years of teaching experience, including A.P. Literature and Composition, college prep and dual-enrollment courses. I am currently employed as a full-time teacher, teaching English III (American Literature and Composition) to high school juniors and Advanced Placement Literature and Composition to juniors and seniors. I also have worked professionally as a writer and journalist for various newspapers and professional publications. I love working one on one with interested people and will go the extra mile to help you be successful. In addition, I have 18 years of experience as a high school varsity-level soccer coach and am looking for opportunities to work with players one on one or in small groups to improve and fine-tune their technical and tactical skills. Please feel free to contact me and decide if I am the right tutor for you.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
