Steve's daughter and her friend are excellent students. They were a pleasure to work with and they have enough self-discipline to do their own work and learn without lots of coaching.

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Business

I started my preparation for business at the unverisity level as an undergraduate with basic business courses in preparation for entry in to a corporate environment. After college, I continued to upgrade my knowledge and skills with post graduate studies in business.

I have worked in the business offices of healthcare providers, international sales representatives, pharmaceutical laboratories, logistics coordinators and much more.

I have a B. S. in Education and business is one of my areas of expertise. I have two voluntarily inactive real estate licenses, CAM (Association Management) and Salesperson.

I have experience and education in personal income tax.

I have two active insurance licensed in the State of Florida. These licenses are focused on Health, LIfe, Annuities and Property and Casualty lines of business.

English

B. S. in Education, Spanish major, French minor.
Able to teach foreign language.
Native speaker of English.

General Computer

I have used computers since the 1970's. I am able to teach basic typing and keyboarding skills.

I used the Internet and Social Media frequently. I prefer to stay with user friendly applications and focus on user training, rather than programming.

Microsoft PowerPoint

Visual aids are extremely important to presenters and educators. Due to my B. S. in Education and years of experience in the business world I have the ability to assist in the preparation of many tools associated with presentations and educational presentations.

I have the ability to provide language assistance for many subjects in English, Spanish and French. This includes written, spoken and listening assistance. Some of my areas of expertise include business, health science, accounting and taxes, medical terminology, etc.

Sewing

I was taught how to sew by my mother, who was a professional seamstress. As a girl, I sat at the foot of my mothers sewing machine starting at a young age, sewing buttons while she was sewing. She created all of my clothes until I was old enough to sew myself.

Mother taught me to make my own patterns, alter sewn items and fit textiles and clothing to the person and/or the environment. I continued my learning with self-instruction and basic art knowledge.

In addition to clothing I have taken on home decorating tasks that require sewing as well as hand sewing tasks such as embroidery, cross stitch and others.

I use a home sewing machine.

Spanish

My undergraduate studies awarded me a B. S. in Education with a Spanish major and a French minor. I have studied in Spain and France. I am a native speaker of Spanish, as well as a teacher of foreign language by education.

My Spanish skills are professional. My French skill run a close second to Spanish are quite good. I have worked with my linguistic skills in education and in international and domestic businesses for many years.

I am also an executive secretary able to work with international business. I have 20 years of medical office experience in a practice that welcomed speakers of Spanish. For this reason, my professional Spanish vocabulary includes medical terminology, accounting terminology, shipping terminology, general business correspondence and much more. My French skills are valid in education, general business, correspondence, French-English translations as well as general conversation. They are not at strong as my skills in Spanish, but still good.

I am able to work with many levels of Spanish students as a group or on an individual basis. This included children as well as educated adults preparing for a career that involves the use of foreign language.

I can prepare effective teaching lessons for individuals or classrooms. I can easily use readily available learning materials to help you learn a foreign language. I hold educational credentials and personal references to verify my skills.

How can I help you improve your language skills today?

TOEFL

I have a B.S. in Education with a Spanish major and a French minor. My areas of teacher certification are Spanish, French, Business. I was working toward adding science as a fourth area and have taken teaching methods courses for foreign language as well as science successfully.

I have also taught on a part-time basis since the mid-1970s.

I learned English as a second language during elementary school. I was fully educated in the USA in American schools successfully.

In order to each a foreign language to Americans, which is what I am trained to do as a professional, one needs to master the English language grammatically and literally.

I use my skills as a teacher of foreign language to help those who are learning English as a second language on a routine, natural, educated and daily basis.
