My name is Jackie. I went to school in NY and received my Bachelor's in Elementary Education and my Master's in Special Education. For the past 18 years, I have worked predominantly with the birth to 5 year old population of children with special needs. There were also times when I taught older children and young adults. My experience includes but is not limited to autism, ADHD, medically fragile, speech, occupational and physical needs, Downs Syndrome children and development delays.
I am very passionate about making a difference in the lives of the families that I get to work with. There is nothing more rewarding than watching children and families grow and make progress in their development.
The passion I have for working with children has given me the patience to work with all of their needs allowing us to both be successful. Working with a child ends up being not just about the child, but about the family unit as well. My specialty has been bringing that all together. My teaching style, compassion and love for what I do, allows me to be the best I can with these special and amazing children.

There are many aspects of health that correlate to physical and mental well being. I like to work with the whole child and have found from experience that this approach increases their progress exponentially.
After 18 years of working with children with special needs, I'm still as passionate about the job as the day I started, but my experience makes me that much wiser. I can't wait to begin working with your family and together we can make great progress and changes. My name is Jackie. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
