About Bryan

I come from meager beginnings. My mother raised four children by herself and we lived in poverty. I grew up to watch my two older siblings dropped out of high school, and I knew at a very early age that their decision was something I refused to let dictate my future. When I got to high school, was thankful enough to be surrounded by teachers and mentors who refused to the same fate happen to me. Because of their encouragement day-in and day-out, not only was I the first to graduate high school in my family, but I was also the only child of my mother's to be accepted into college. Since graduating from Brandon High School in 2008, it has always been a dream of mine to do for someone what my high school teachers have done for me.

In 2010, I graduated from Hillsborough Community College with an Associates in Liberal Arts, and in 2013 I graduated from the University of South Florida with a double major in Political Science and Philosophy. I was politically active in Young Americans for Liberty, which is a nation-wide organization dedicated to the promotion of the Constitution of the United States and encourages strict adherence of political officials regardless of party affiliation. While in college, I also joined the United States Marine Corps. As proud of my record as I am, that dream was short lived as they medically separated my in 2013. However, for the rest of my life I will continue to carry the lessons and ethos the Marine Corps has instilled in me.

Since graduating college, I have had the honor and privilege to Barry University School of Law. However, after a year and a half of attending law school, I have made the decision to leave to pursue teaching full-time. My involvement with teaching has been eclectic. In high school, I began volunteering for the school district teaching students with mental disabilities simple daily functions, such as how to tie their shoes, primary colors, etc. That led to a job with Hillsborough County where I began teaching art in an after school art program for children with similar disabilities. Currently, I am working as a substitute teacher for Hillsborough County, and am working on my teacher's certification. By the beginning of the 2016-17 school year, it is my goal to be a full-time teacher at Brandon High School, so that I may go back and work along side the same exact people who tirelessly encouraged me to better myself. I would not be in the position I am today had they not been there to support me.

We literally live history every single day. It is our civic duty to never forget where we came from. If we allow ourselves to forget, then we lose all sight of where we are going. It has been a conscientious effort of mine to prevent my generation and posterity to be a direct reflect the effects of absentmindedness.

I will not allow you to be a victim of circumstance. If you are genuinely in need help and are looking for authentic and engaging tutor, please, do not hesitate to raise your hand. I know what it is like to struggle and I will not give up on you.
