Just about my entire life I have competed in sports, and taught others how to succeed. I originally started out playing soccer around age 7. At age 8 I started playing basketball and competing in our town track meets. Every year I was always selected to play on the traveling teams in our area. When I started as a young girl I had personal trainers to help me achieve my goals as a young athlete. I have played every position on the soccer field, including goalie. I was selected on a National team when I was 14 to represent the United States in a soccer tournament in Sweden. When I was 15 I was chosen for a National team to represent the United States in a basketball tournament in Canada. I have traveled to many different states for both soccer and basketball. I have always competed in all three sports year round. I played indoor soccer in the winter, as I am originally from New Jersey where it is too cold to play outdoors in the winter. I've played in summer leagues for soccer and basketball up until college. I still play pick-up games of both as my love and knowledge of those sports have never died. My track experience always came in handy for those other sports to help gain speed and stamina. My track experience does include four years of Varsity track while I was in high school.
My current sports that I have competed in do include Karate, Jiu Jitsu, and Muay Thai. Those sports have also given me great insight as to how to maintain muscle strength in different areas of your body. It also teaches you about the benefits of your diet included with your workout to obtain maximum performance from your body. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have been playing basketball since I was 8 years old. I was always selected to be on the traveling teams, and have played AAU basketball for many years. I was also selected on a National team that traveled to Canada to compete. I have previously had personal trainers to help me obtain my goals, and now I use those skills they taught me with to teach other children including my god son.
I have always been a fit person. I have competed in soccer, basketball, track, and martial arts. I have previously helped friends to compile and complete work outs to help them lose weight. Some people are not successful getting in shape themselves. I am a great motivator to help those types of people, and my fitness knowledge is wide and extensive. I also know the importance of eating right in conjunction with a great work out is the best way to get fit and maintain it.
Soccer has always been my best sport. I started playing as a goalie as a young girl, and slowly started transitioning to different positions on the field. I know all aspects of all positions, and how to train for them all. I was selected to play in Sweden on a National team when I was 14. I generally follow the Rutgers training program, as that is the program that has given me the most success.
I have competed in Track and Field events since I was 8. When I was in high school I was a four year Varsity track athlete. Through the years I competed in sprints, long distance runs, the high jump, discus, and javelin. In my Junior year our 4 x 400 relay team won 1st place in the county meet. I set the first record in our high school for female javelin.
