About Elizabeth

I am a graduate of USF SM with a BA in English Literature. While studying at USF I worked in the writing center for almost 2 years and absolutely loved helping students achieve their best in their writing. I also have over 3 years of teaching experience with 2 classes at my local synagogue. Writing is an expression of what's inside of the writer. Sometimes the writer just needs a little help in finding the right tools to express themselves, or even just a sound board to bounce around thoughts and ideas. Even experienced writers can be positively influenced by tutoring as writing is an ongoing process- it's an extension of thoughts and ideas and can always be refined.

I love to read, and can usually be found with my nose in a book. Currently, I'm working on a novel and hope to be an author someday soon!

I have a varied educational background. My K-12 education includes private school, public school, online schooling, and home schooling. I then went on to receive an AA degree at St. John's River State College, and a BA in English Literature at USF SM. I also spent some time in the Library Science Master's program but had to move into the workforce due to an illness in the family.

I am very passionate about literature and have a wide range of expertise. I am available for tutoring in American, English, and World literature, as well as Bible studies, and Poetry. I am also available for tutoring in writing, for focuses in proof reading, editing, resumes, and grammar/punctuation help.

I am available on weekends and in the evenings after 6 M-F.

I believe in effective communication, both within your work in communicating your message to your paper's audience, and within the tutoring experience. I want to help you achieve your best! I believe that everyone has the ability to write excellent papers, it's just a matter of know how to use your tools. Practice really does make perfect! Let me help you become the best you can be!

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
