About Robert

While I was dual-enrolled (attending college while in high school) I was often asked to return to my high school to enhance or reinforce the other students' understanding of mathematical topics. This ranged everywhere from in-class help to staying with the students after school. Additionally, I worked closely with the mathematics department in order to identify those students that required more help, and worked on ways to individualize the help that those students were receiving.

While in college, I served as an in-house mathematician of sorts, and routinely assisted others living on my floor.
I love teaching, and while I plan on pursuing a career in education, for now I prefer tutoring because it allows me to educate students in a one-on-one environment.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
