American History

I am a certified History teacher, currently teaching both Advanced and regular US History.

ESL/ESOL

I have earned the necessary ESOL endorsement for Social Studies teachers in Sarasota County and am also an experienced Spanish teacher.

European History

I have previously taught AP European History and have tutored AP and IB students in European History; I am a certified History teacher in Florida.

Geography

I am a certified History and Social Studies teacher with extensive knowledge of geography.

Government & Politics

As a certified History and Social Studies teacher with a degree in History and International Relations, I have experience in teaching American Government and International Relations.

Political Science

I earned my BA in History and International Relations from New College of Florida (then New College of the University of South Florida) and studied at the PhD level (in Political Science) at the University of California at Berkeley as well as at the MA level (in International Relations) at La Universidad de Belgrano in Buenos Aires, Argentina. I have also taught American Government at the pre-IB level in high school and have taught International Relations in high school.

Social Studies

I am certified by the state of Florida in Social Studies (6-12), History (6-12), and Spanish (K-12). I am currently employed as a Social Studies/History and Spanish teacher.

Spanish

I currently teach Spanish I for High School credit and am certified to teach Spanish K-12. I have traveled extensively throughout Latin America and have studied at the Master's level in Argentina.

Track & Field

Throughout high school and college, I competed actively as a distance runner, including running legs on relays at some meets. I am very familiar with the events in track and field and I also worked for 10 years at a specialty running store, assisting athletes in choosing the best shoes for their training and competitions.

I am a certified History teacher and I have previously taught and tutored for World History.
