Hello, my name is Eric.
I've taught AP Calculus AB and BC and every AP Physics class (C, B, and 1 - the Calculus and trig based courses) for 25 years. I have taught college classes and ONLINE classes also. I addition I was selected as an AP calculus exam reader/grader by College Board.

Here are a few of my other qualifications:

1. After high school, I spent 6 years in the Navy as a nuclear reactor operator aboard a nuclear submarine I then attended Georgia Tech, where I received a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering graduating with highest honors.

2. While at Georgia Tech, I spent 2 years as a teaching assistant teaching heat transfer and thermodynamics. This was an experience I enjoyed so much that I eventually became a classroom teacher where i have taught most every math class and some chemistry - but mostly AP calculus and AP physics

3. My AP exam pass rate was 100% for the first 3 years. and every year since my class enrollment boomed to standing room only!

6. In fact, in it's "2007 report to the Nation," College Board recognized my AP Calculus class as "exemplary" and having the most students in the nation pass the AP calculus exam.

I can offer you and your student both the clear explanations of an experienced AP teacher and the expertise of an engineering professional. Students respond well to my humor and straight forward teaching style. In fact, on the website "ratemyteacher” I have the highest rating at my school where former students state "the best math teacher I have ever had in college or high school", and "The reason I became a physics major at Harvard."

I know choosing a tutor - with so many good ones to choose from - is tough. But since I actually teach AP Calculus and AP Physics (for 25+ years), I know the AP Physics and AP Calculus exam and class material inside and out. I have access to all of the AP tests and teacher resources! And, after attending and presenting at countless AP teacher seminars and exam workshops, I know all the AP exam tricks!
I can't wait to share that knowledge with you!

Thanks for your time and I look forward to hearing from you.

I have been teaching AP Calculus for 18 years. I also teach AP Physics regular and Advanced Placement which is Trig and CALCULUS based. My AP calculus class was ranked number one in the nation by College Board. My AP Physics class is also one of the best. I graduated from GA Tech where I received a Masters and BS in Mechanical Engineering. I graduated number three in my class. While in grad school at TECH, I taught Thermodynamics. Also, I was a Physics major at GA State where I earned a 4.0 GPA. Previously I was a reactor operator on a nuclear submarine in the Navy. So how can an engineer be a whiz at calculus? It turns out that every engineering calculation at Tech was a calculus problem! So needless to say, I am extremely experienced and more importantly, extremely good at teaching. I am funny and can explain the most complicated topics in a easy to understand manner. I hate to brag, but teaching Physics and Calculus is what I do for a living and having me tutor you is like having Michael Jordan come to your home to help you with basketball!

He went in depth into each topic I had troubles with.

Prabha, 3 lessons with Eric

Great teacher of Physics concepts and problem solving!

Eric helped tremendously in my son's understanding of AP Physics! My son never took regular high school physics, and found himself struggling to keep up in AP Physics. Eric gave great examples to help put the concepts in understandable context, went over all the problems with my son, and has been very flexible and available for sessions. We are so glad to have found Eric and hope to work with him regularly!
