My name is Cristine. I am a 24 year old personal banker with an associate's degree in business administration. I am the oldest sibling of my 20 year old sister and 11 year old brother with whom I have tutored throughout their entire school careers. Knowing that with a little patience and focus I was able to get a student to understand a subject brings pure joy to me. I have expert skills in communication and patience between myself and the student.
My goal is to give my student the time, patience, and understanding over struggles he or she is currently experiencing. I take constructive criticism very well and will adapt to the needs of the student. I would prefer to meet with the student at a public library, but will certainly accommodate the studying location at a home or business if needed. My strengths include elementary subjects especially reading, writing, and spelling. I would also love to work with a student either learning to read and speak English or Spanish for the first time or just needing extra studying to achieve a better grade.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
A degree in Business Administration as well as 6 years of working in the corporate world allow me to tutor students headed out into the corporate world. Including tutoring needs of assistance with interviewing, prioritizing, or working towards a promotion.
I currently tutor my younger brother who is in 5th grade, and have been assisting him with his homework since he started kindergarten.

I pride myself on receiving excellent grades throughout my entire school career in all English and grammar classes. Spelling and vocabulary are some of my strengths and easy for me to relay lessons and instructions to my student.
I was fully involved with Drama and Theatre throughout middle school and high school as well as on the debate team. I am very comfortable with speaking in public, and have learned techniques that I can pass on to a student to build courage and confidence while speaking in public.
Reading is crucial to be successful and have a bright future. Although it can be a more difficult subject to teach, I have the patience to work with my student for as long as it takes not only to complete a passage, but to truly understand the material.
I received 1st place from k-5th grade in annual spelling bees. I was involved with spelling competitions throughout 6-8th grade. From beginners to advanced, I have the capability to help my student successfully learn material and pass spelling exams. I want to enhance their spelling skills in order to enhance their reading and grammar.
Whether my student's preference is reading, flash cards, or constructing a learning game, studying is so important in passing a class. I have the patience and tips to make learning less complicated and more understandable.
I have 3 years of High School competitive swimming.
I was involved in Drama, Theatre, and musical Theatre from 6th-12th grade. I was also and part of drama club and thespians. I acted and worked back of the house as director and assistant director for multiple performances.
Vocabulary is one of my strengths. I am able to take parts of a word in order to put together the proper definition. For some vocabulary can be difficult, but there is definitely creative ways of breaking down a word in order to find hidden meanings of the word.
