As an artist and free thinker, I believe the learning experience for all students young and old should be filled with knowledge and fun. Both are necessary to make learning enjoyable and memorable.
Most people don't think that math is fun. But it can be with the right ideas while learning it. The same goes for all the subjects you may dread. It's about opening you mind to many ways of learning and thinking.
I have been and substitute teacher for 2 years and have found all sorts of students that want to learn. And some students who are not that interested in learning.
I also teach watercolor painting to adults. Unlike many young students; every adult in my classes are very willing to learn everything they can.
I hope that someday if not now, you will be someone who wants to learn more.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I have a BS in graphic design with over 20 years experience working in a variety of positions.
I also teach watercolor painting to adults and plan to continue teaching in the fall.
As a fine artist and graphic designer, I use the best of both worlds to create interesting projects.
Recently I began designing and painting silk paintings & scarves with beautiful colorful dyes. I am always looking for the next challenge, and teaching young people that are interested in art is very rewarding.
I have been an avid swimmer all my life. As a child I was forced to take swimming lessons by my parents. Little did I know, down the line I would always choose to swim over any other form of exercise. I became a lifeguard in college, and worked all four years as a lifeguard at school and summers.
I continue to swim as often as possible, and enjoy teaching young people the joy that comes with swimming.
