I have three years of tutoring experience ranging from ages 10-60. I am currently a student of St. Petersburg College working on my bachelor's degree in Finance with a 3.4 GPA. I am looking to assist students to understand math ranging from prealgebra to algebra 2 as well as Excel. I enjoy tutoring because it helps me give back to the community that has helped me get to where I am today.

A smart and patient math tutor with a sense of humor.

Michael is currently helping my 9th grader with Algerbra 1. He explains the process in simple terms that she understand . He acknowledges her progress and encourages her. We are very pleased with Michael and will continue working with him.

Tutor responded:

Thank you for the positive feedback, Wende. It's a pleasure working with your daughter as she is very smart and learns quickly. I enjoy the affirmation I get in her smiles when she relates to the material. I look forward to our next lesson and helping her on her scholastic path to reach her goals. Thank you for choosing me as her tutor.

Patient, kind, and knowledgeable

Michael has helped my daughter bring up her D to a B. I am very happy so far. We meet 2 x per week. Will probably continue until she graduates high school, lol. I'm sorry that I waited this long to get help.

Very patient and knowledgeable with the material that I needed help with.

Michael and I have worked on rationalizations, factoring, square roots, and quadratic equations. I have an increased confidence in my ability to do math problems, since I have started working with Michael. I was failing my math tests prior to meeting with Michael. My grade has improved and I am looking forward to gaining more confidence in the subject that I feel has been holding me back for so long.

Great math tutor!

Michael was very patient and explained things really well. My daughter was very impressed with the lesson and I can already tell she is gaining more self confidence in math. It is our first lesson, but I plan to use him throughout the rest of the school year.
