Florida State University (anthropology)
Hello. I am a person who is interested in making sure that students succeed in their education. As a child, I went to a private school and received an education that many families could not afford. By the time I was in high school I realized the benefits of my education. I realized that our education system is faulty. In addition, I realized that other students did not have the resources that I did. After high school, I realized that teaching would become my passion.
While attending college earning my degree in Classics with a minor in Anthropology, I worked in two different bureaus within the Florida Department of Education. The first was the Office of Education. The office deals with using and distributing educational media throughout the state of Florida in various schools throughout the state of Florida. I realized that educational media is a great way for students to learn in and outside the classroom. All of the educational media I worked with covered all subjects being taught in schools throughout Florida.
The second bureau I worked in was the Bureau of Curriculum and Instruction. The bureau was responsible for deciding what teachers in schools were required to teach children. It was there where I learned the administrative aspect of education as well as the process for how the education system works. My employment at the Florida Department of Education furthered my desire to teach.
Volunteer work was an important part of my education and I proudly participated. I worked as a tour guide for the Museum of Florida History. I provided information about the various exhibits and added additional information I learned from my college classes. In addition, I performed research for the museum. It was here where I decided to pursue my anthropology degree.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Anthropology at the University of South Florida. Anthropology is defined as the study of humankind. It includes social sciences which are important in all levels of education. In my experience, the field is misunderstood, but upon further explanation people realize its value in all educational fields. Upon graduation, I realized that I could become an asset to the teaching of social sciences in Florida.
As a tutor I am more than capable of helping your child succeed in the subject of social sciences. I hope you will consider my qualifications when deciding upon a tutor. Thank you. Hello. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I am an anthropology graduate from USF. I am qualified to be an anthropology tutor due to my extensive experience with the subject. It is a misunderstood subject and I know I am qualified to help those to get a better understanding of the subject itself. Anthropology is a field that can be applied to every subject in humankind. For example, anthropology is especially important in social sciences. It allows us to understand humankind overtime.
