In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
Hi, my name is James and I've been interested in computers ever since my older sister brought home a hard disk drive from her first computer training class in 1968. I bought my first personal computer in 1983; it had 8K of memory, used a cassette player to store and retrieve programs and used a TV for the monitor. I built my first IBM compatible in 1996; it ran DOS 5.0 and Windows 3.1. I have since owned at least a half dozen computers and built hundreds for others.
I have toyed around with SUN, Linux and MAC to name a few, but I do like Windows best. I have become something of an expert. I have beta tested many of Microsoft's offerings and have become a Microsoft Partner, so if there is anything I can help you with just ask!
