Hello,

I was born in New York, but I grew up in Puerto Rico. As you all know the language over there is Spanish and little English.

All my school was in P.R. and they have in their system that every year you have to take one class of Spanish and one class of English, from grade K to 12 and the if you go to the University or College, is the same. I did K to 12 the two years at the University of Puerto Rico, and the I change and got my license to work on airplane as a mechanic A&P. I worked for few years at the international airport, and then I joined the U.S. Army. After that, I continue my career as an A&P mechanic with different airlines. For teaching experience I have six years as an instructor for the Red Cross, teaching people how to swim and CPR, also two years as an instructor of aviation maintenance at Colorado Aero Tech. While I was working with Continental Airlines in Denver Colorado, I transferred to D/FW Texas, and I was sent to school in regular basis, to learn new systems and then when I come back I have to teach the rest of the crew of the station, so everyone is on the same page. In those three subjects, I have to make sure that I give my 100% to the students, so the can learn, really learn. I hope I can do the same with you learning Spanish!

Spanish is my primary language. Up to age 5 all I talked was Spanish, from K to 12 and 2 years of college, the school system in P.R. you have to take one class in Spanish and one class in English, then I took 2 years of tech school, but all in English. As far teaching experience, I was an American Red Cross Swim Instructor for 10 years, there I had students of all ages. Later I got into the Aviation Industry and some time down the road I became an Aircraft Mechanic Instructor, there my students where from 18 to 60 years old. When I was working with Continental Airlines I was sent for training and the give training to the rest of the mechanics in my station, so again I became an instructor. Methods I used to teach was the same was used when I was the student, that way they learn what I learned, plus I add whatever I have learned on top of that and /or others experiences. Learning doesn't have an end.
