Hello, my name is Julie B. I have spent most of my career writing business letters and creating brochures for small business owners and also writing scripts for local production companies. I also teach creative writing to children and adults in my rural community. A love of words and the ideas, thoughts and emotions associated with individual words is what I strive to teach my students. The whole purpose of creative writing is to express these ideas, thoughts and emotions and help the reader feel the words, not just read them.
I began writing in the ninth grade and continued to write throughout high school. After starting my own business, I continued my education through an online Journalism course. That's why I know that online learning can be just as effective as face face learning. I taught drama, script writing and creative writing to 150 homeschoolers with ACE Home Schooling Association then volunteered with our local library program to Teach an Adult to Read-Change a Life Forever. My goal is to help expand my students imagination which helps build strength and courage.
I teach creative story writing, poetry, journal and letter writing and more to adults and children. I also help adults and children improve reading skills and learn to love the power of words.
I also specialize in Business Letter Writing instruction for adults.
I am generally available most days for tutoring from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and can travel to students or online by email or Skype. I charge $45 per hour for both online or on location tutoring. Creative writing is fun. Come join me for the adventure! Hello, my name is Julie B. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
