I've been teaching since 2000, most of that time at the high school level. American History is my passion, but my experience overwhelmingly has been in teaching World History - European History is my forte. To become a better AP teacher I've also trained several summers at AP Summer Institutes.
I've had several graduate-level courses studying political science topics in Latin America and the Middle East, so I feel like I have an eclectic mix of knowledge of world affairs and the histories that have shaped the various regions of the world.
I really believe the most important thing is that students feel that history is relevant to them, and I am committed to finding how a child best learns.

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
