I am a teacher and have taught for 8 years. I love working with my students and helping them to be successful with their studies. I feel that every child has the ability to learn if they have someone behind them that believes in them. I have a master's degree in special education as well as a bachelors degree in science. To me there is nothing more rewarding then helping someone learn something that they didn't think they could learn. I also have teaching experience on the college level, so I have taught every age group.
I absolutely love everything about science. There have been so many instances that I get a student that tells me they don't like science and after a few months of teaching them, they love science.
I am very experienced with common core. I worked in New York City for 6 years and attended several 100 hours of professional development about common core. I can understand that common core can be intimidating when you don't understand it, but I can assure you that once you gain an understanding for it, it is much easier to help students with it.

I am a very dedicated teacher and would love the opportunity to help you/ your child or whom ever is in need of a tutor to be successful with their academics while learning to enjoy the content as well. I look forward to hearing from you and setting up a schedule to get you on your way to success. I am a teacher and have taught for 8 years. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
