University of North Florida (education)
My name is Alyse, I graduated from University of North Florida in December of 2010 with a degree in PreK/Primary Education. I taught for two years. I taught third grade and PreK! I enjoy working with students and helping them to be more successful in all subject areas. Most recently I worked at Kumon, tutoring students in reading and math. I love to see an increasing level of confidence as students experience a deeper level of understanding with my help and guidance. I truly believe patience is a virtue and with time all students can experience success!
I enjoy spending my free time outdoors running, biking and playing at the beach with my puppy. I was born and raised in Canada and moved to South Florida when I was going into the 7th grade. I definitely prefer the warm sunshine rather than the cold! I have a niece and nephew that live in Connecticut, I wish I could see them more often, it is amazing the see how much they learn between our visits!
I would love to be able to have the opportunity to work with you, if I can be of assistance to you please don't hesitate to call me!
Have a wonderful day,

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
