Hi. My name is Megan, and I would love to tutor you or your child. I graduated from Columbia University and have been a Broward County, Florida teacher for 22 years. I am also a National Board Certified teacher. I teach middle school in Coral Springs, Florida, but have experience with students from elementary to college. I am enthusiastic, patient, and committed to helping you or your child succeed. I am open to tutoring in your home, a library or other public place, but I also conduct online tutoring; I am flexible for whatever meets your needs. I have a wide variety of strategies to meet your child s learning style and preference.

Although I was an Art History major and currently teach World History and Civics, I have always loved math. I tutor students in Algebra, Algebra 2, Trigonometry, and Geometry with great success. My background in the humanities gives me the extra tools to communicate concepts clearly and in a way students can relate to, especially students who believe they "aren't good at math".

My personal love of learning translates into a positive tutoring experience. I focus on finding strategies to meet the student's personal learning style while providing encouragement and knowledge.

Wonderful tutor

Megan worked with our 8 year old daughter and over 5 sessions she went from disliking math to finding it actually fun. Megan made the lessons so playful that I don't think our daughter noticed that she was actually working hard and learning lots of new concepts. Her attitude about math is now much better and she even asks us to play one of the math card games that she learned with Megan for fun. We couldn't be happier.
