I would like to introduce myself. My name is Raymond A., a Jamaican by birth who migrated to the United States many years ago. I attended Northern Caribbean University and received a degree in primary education. I taught school in Jamaica for many years before I migrated to the United States. During my years in Jamaica, I taught primary education for a few years, then I worked with high school students teaching English Literature, Religious Knowledge, Social Studies, Music Theory, and Civics.
I migrated to the United States in 1990 and did many odd jobs before going back to school. In 1996 I was accepted in Trinity International University where I studied Interpersonal Communication. On completion, I again registered in school. This time my school of choice was University of Phoenix and obtained a master's degree in Organizational Management. I worked for years at ADT Security in human resource. In 2011 I migrated to South Korea and taught Conversational English for 3 1/2 years. The experience was wonderful and very rewarding. Working with people has always been my thing. I am a very happy and funny person. I hope I will get a chance to work with you and/or your child.
I am a Christian and have studied religion for many years. I have done many courses while in school in Jamaica. My social studies experience comes with different experience of living and working with different culture and people.
With me as your teacher, you will not only gain knowledge, but you will be entertained and your day will be full of fun. I will also share life experiences gained in different cultures. In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
