Howdy! My name is Jett and I would love to help you or your child excel in your studies. I have several degrees in both math and science, but have also tutored many students in all subjects (including SAT/ACT/GRE prep, reading, and writing).
I am a great instructor whom doesn't like to simply dictate to my students (I have found that most students do not like that either). Rather, I have found it is best to have the student learn interactively by performing experiments, answering questions, and explaining concepts.
I truly understand math while many math tutors simply memorized how to perform math. When I explain to my students the reasoning behind a problem, it helps them to both remember what is being taught and have the concepts click in their head.
I hope for the opportunity to work with you in the near future. I truly love tutoring and encourage you to learn with me, you won't regret it! Howdy! Jett is a very talented tutor, and in my two hour session with him, I learned more than I would have learned on my own in a week. He's patient, talented, flexible and has an absolutely wonderful understanding of all math topics. Not once did he have to look anything up! My math course is now thankfully over (yay), but I would gladly work with Jett again.
Jett was very thorough with our son and worked with him through his math work as he prepares for a unit test. He was very patient and knowledgeable. Look forward to future tutor sessions to help my son continue to improve his math knowledge.
My daughter was nervous about her first tutoring session but Jett was very calm and professional and, while she wasn't exactly at ease, she did absorb what he was teaching her. Thank you, Jett.
My daughter struggles with math therefore with physics. After two hours with Jett she feels more confident and reported that she would like for him to come again.
I have worked as a professor for 15 years so I can recognize a talented teacher when I see one. Jett was amazing! He knew how to explain complicated statistics concepts so well that they all seemed very easy to me. He is patient and really makes sure that you understand everything. I highly recommend him for anyone!
Jett covers the material very thoroughly and makes sure it is understood before moving on - he goes out of his way to work me in to his schedule when I really need him!
Today we went over assignment to for the course. In addition to doing problems I outlined the formulas and procedures for solving the types of problems ranging from the different topics covered. These include probabilities events probability distributions permutations and combinations binomial distribution and more. Adrien rated a 5 and felt much more confident to take the upcoming test
Jett and I went over different types of motion problems and introduced concepts of torque, momentum, and normal force. He did a good job explaining everything so that I can understand the material.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I have a bachelors degree in Mathematics from UCF and differential equations is one of the core courses for this degree (as well as for physics and engineering). I have had several recent students from FAU that Were engineers and I was there tutor from Calculus I to Differential equations. All of them passed the course with one even obtaining a 100% on one of her exams. I have a very strong grasp on all undergraduate level math subjects.
when obtaining my degrees in mathematics and computer science, discrete math was a core subject that had to be passed in order to continue in the program. That had led me to study hard for the course and to later tutor many UCF CS students in the topic as well (they could only take it twice). I never had a student fail the exam after taking sessions with me and I have a strong grasp on the topic.
I have a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from UCF and many classes dealt with the concepts of finite math (such as combinatorics and graph theory). I have also tutored students in Florida and Germany in this subject with great results. I have a very strong grasp on all undergraduate level math subjects.
I have a bachelors degree in Mathematics from UCF and linear algebra is a fun course. I have also tutored mathematics students in Florida Atlantic in this subject with great results. I have a very strong grasp on all undergraduate level math subjects.
I have a bachelors degree in Mathematics from UCF and most logic courses are only a 2000 level while I have taken several logic courses of higher levels. I have also tutored students in Florida and Germany in this subject with great results. I have a very strong grasp on all undergraduate level math subjects.
I have been working in a laboratory at Max Planck where I have been working on my PhD using organic compounds. I had to study diligently to learn organic chemistry for my research. I also had a student in organic chemistry last semester who came to me with a 38% average and brought that up to an 88%. I also enjoy the subject very much because I find it fun and interesting.
I have a degree in mathematics and have tutored this subject at middle school, high school, and college levels.
