Mr. Herve M has tutored my daughter Kristen in College Algebra. Herve is patient, encouraging, understanding and he worked hard and extremely diligently with my daughter as my daughter has had a difficult time comprehending her Math assignments. Herve would assign extra work for her to do to improve her Math skills on a weekly basis. Herve has been very patient and listened to my daughters questions on her Math problems. My 8th grade grandson was struggling in Algebra 1 Common Core Advanced classes. After two test scores below 55%, I reached out for a tutor. I decided to try WyzAnt, the first few sessions his weekly Algebra quiz and test scores ranged from 70% to 80% and improving constantly. What an instant improvement! Mostly due to feeling comfortable with Herve. His understanding and focusing on his work has greatly approved with every lesson varying from 1 to 2 hours with the tutor. He now shows confidence in knowing how to approach and prepare for the weekly class quizzes and test.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
