As part of my work, I tutor students in Math ( Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Statistic, Trigonometry, college Algebra, pre-Algebra, Algebra 1&2, Geometry, and general Math, etc), and test prep (GED, GRE, SHSAT, SAT).
In general, I favor a "hands-on" approach to teaching that involves a lot of interaction between the tutor and student, and concrete experiences in addition to worksheets. However, my specific methods vary according to the subject being taught and the learning style of the student.

For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I received both my bachelor and master degrees in computer Science in which Discrete Mathematics were deeply taught. I successfully completed several Discrete Mathematics courses with high grades. I did not only learn this mathematical area in college and university, but also I taught Discrete Mathematics for a school district (Coconut Creek High in Broward).
