Hi, I am a very patient and highly driven tutor who enjoys the challenge of helping my students become successful in learning. I have a Bachelors in English/ Spanish Education, a Masters in ESOL, and an M.ED in Applied Linguistics. As a teacher, I was responsible for being the facilitator, providing models and tools for my students to use to perform learning tasks independently in the future. I take pride in my non-judgmental concept of education, having worked productively and efficiently with a full spectrum of personalities, cultural backgrounds and age groups (both children and adults). Being open to change, I continue to grow as a teacher, learning to adjust my teaching to meet the needs of each individual student. Finally, provide study skills to students to help them grasp the information being taught and to help them to become independent learners. I enjoy making learning fun, never having it be boring!!!

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
I'm eligible for a temporary Florida educator's certificate in English to Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) (Grades K-12). I also hold a Master's in ESOL and an M.ED In Applied Linguistics.
