I have 30 years experience working with preschool age children. I love seeing that spark when they finally learn something they have been working so hard to achieve. All children have different learning styles and I believe in bringing these styles into the learning.
To help your child become successful I believe that the parent/s and teacher have to be partners. I will give your child work to complete to help them build on what I am teaching them, because of your child's age you will have to help them. The work I leave for your child may be as simple as reading to/with them and asking questions or looking for objects that start with the letter/s we are working on.
I have a degree in Early Childhood Education from East Stroudsburg University, and I know the basic foundation children need to be successful readers. I teach phonics every day to preschoolers; rhyming and hearing the sounds in words.
I hope to help your child become successful and become life long learners. I have 30 years experience working with preschool age children. I love seeing that spark when they finally learn something they have been working so hard to achieve. All children have different learning styles and I believe in bringing these styles into the learning.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
