In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

I studied aspects of historical archaeology under one of the premier Persian/ancient Near East scholars (Dr. Edwin Y.) while in graduate school at Miami. I often include the science, significance, and study of archaeology during my history lessons.
I find students at first don't seem to see why this subject is important to them, but as they literally fit the pieces together, they quickly warm up and become avid archaeologists.
Please include this subject on my tutoring profile.
