Hi, I'm Teresa! I attended college at Georgia Southern University where I received my Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. I also attended graduate school at Western Governors University where I received my Master's degree. I am currently attending Liberty University for my Master's in Teaching English as a Second Language. My teaching experience includes teaching English to students in China and Korea online. I have over 2 years experience doing this currently. Previously, I owned and operated my own daycare where I taught young children the basics of learning. Prior to that, I was a substitute teacher to the Gwinnett County Public Schools for 2 years.
In teaching ESL, I primarily focus on pronunciations, correct grammar, and correct sentence structure. I am patient and understand the methods of talking slowly, repetition, and growing with my students in their learning. I enjoy teaching both children and adults via lesson plans and conversational speaking. I try to provide a fun and exciting learning environment while teaching the fundamentals needed in being a fluent English speaker.
As your ESL tutor, I would like to make your experience as productive and rewarding as possible. I provide good patience and listening skills that is needed in being a good ESL tutor. I currently work with children and adults in improving their English language skills through lesson plans and conversational speaking. I enjoy helping students and understand that we all learn differently. I am familiar with different levels of English learners and are able to work with basic, intermediate, and advanced learners. I encourage questions and suggestions within my class. I look forward to the opportunity of working with any and all students to make learning English a wonderful experience.
I encourage you to contact me to improve your English speaking skills. I look forward to meeting you soon so we can get started on your success.
