About SIMONE

I am Italian and I spent 8 years in France. I recently arrived in Florida. My professional career was built between two countries, France and Italy, working both with French and Italian academic institutions, in Paris and Rome. I taught in different Italian universities between 2011-2015, and gave conferences in different countries. I love teaching students of all ages. I think that a teacher has to develop a group-dynamic in which everyone expresses himself. As a teacher, I believe that a good lesson has to focus on student experience and needs, difficulties, expectations, and personal background. Teaching Italian and French (or sociology) I will surely bring enthusiasm and entertainment, emphasizing examples and cultural aspects!

For long time teaching has been centered on the role and knowledge of teachers, so that instructors focused on the content and materials they divulgate instead of understanding how students learn. I am aware of learner-centered teaching approach and I have been practicing it in my seminars and courses. A learner-centered teaching approach focuses on how student can learn FOR LIFE, instead of asking for memorization without meaning.

I am a native Italian speaker (from Sardinia) and I was graduated in the Liceo Classico (classical languages and humanities) In Italy; I taught Italian and social sciences in France.

It's more than a lesson! Together, we will choose the most interesting topics for you. If you want to learn fast and improve in a professional and funny way, contact me!

If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
