I have loved learning since I was a kid. When friends needed help with math, chemistry, or physics, I'm who would happily help them out. After graduating from university, I started tutoring professionally.

As a clinical tutor I used an analytical approach to help students struggling with reading. Through opened dialogue with my students, I would understood their perspective on a confusing topic and then use guiding questions to lead them to understanding the correct answer.

At the University of Central Florida I was a strategic tutor at Academic Services for Student Athletes . There I would help the student athletes with science and math courses. I also would assist them in becoming more efficient students. I taught them study habits, organization skills, and tips to get the most out of their study time.

I have also worked at other private academic tutoring companies focusing on high school and university level science and math. I am proud to say that I have helped a diverse range of students: students that needed extra help to keep up, high level students taking AP and IB courses, and many in between.

During my time at the University of Miami I was part of two academic programs: the Howard Hughes Institute Undergraduate Research Program and the Program for Integrated Science and Mathematics. I took high level courses and completed a research project which I used to write an honors thesis. I am happy to say that I graduated with a Bachelor's in Science majoring in Biology and Microbiology/Immunology with a minor in Chemistry.

As a science and math tutor, I understand that not everyone feels as passionately as I do about these subjects. That is why I strive to provide lessons that are filled with visuals, examples, and practical concept overviews. I make sure to keep my students engaged in the lesson by asking them questions and relating concepts to their interests.

I look forward to taking on new students so they can achieve their academic goals and gain a better appreciation of science and math.

Chemistry

At the University of Miami I graduated with a minor in chemistry. I found that the best way to do well in chemistry is by getting a thorough understanding of concepts, studying examples, and solving practice problems. I have worked with students taking Chemistry in high school, Valencia College, and the University of Central Florida. I have noticed that sometimes professors can't reach every student when it comes to teaching chemistry. That is why I like to set up my tutoring sessions with a concept review at the start. I make sure to use visuals by using a white board to draw out examples and work practice problems.
Geometry,

Geometry

Geometry is a subject that deals with physical shapes and their properties. It is important to present concepts in a visual way. My tutoring style works because of my commitment to present information in a visual way and to provide my student questions throughout the tutoring session. This allows me to pinpoint areas of confusion to quickly address them and continue building on that material. I get to know what way my student learns best and tailor my lessons to reflect that.
Physics,

Physics

During college I have taken college physics (Algebra based) and university physics (calculus based). This lets me view problems from different math perspectives. Over the last three years I have taught students in university level physics and high school level ranging from regular to honors to AP Physics. All of that experience working with different classes has shown me what are the most important concepts to understand for comprehension and testing purposes. My background teaching different math courses also gives me the advantage. Because physics is so math heavy, I can help students that are not so confident in their math abilities.

Patient and knowledgeable

My 10th grade son spent four hours with Gabriel over the weekend and was able to improve a test score of 60% to 90% on the retake test. I plan to have Gabriel work with my son throughout the year so he can understand the concepts rather than cramming for the exam My son really liked Gabriel and learned so much. What I really like was there they had a lot of interactions between each other with many questions and answers during the session

Edwin, 1 lesson with Gabriel

Very smart, patient and kind

He taught me irregular electron configuration. The 6 alkene reactions and their mechanisms. Also the 4 rearrangements of Alkenes involving acids. I would recommend him to all my friends
