Here are my experiences which support the claim of possessing the title of a teacher/tutor. A year at an university as an assistant to Associate Professor of Mathematics (Mathematics for Teachers I & II, College Geometry, Precalculus, College Algebra). A substitute instructor in courses of College Algebra, Trigonometry, Precalculus, Business Calculus, Calculus I-III, Differential Equations. Six years of university in-person/online tutoring (Physics, Latin I and II, Logic/Discrete Structures, Accounting, Finance, Business Calculus, Quantitative Methods, Linear Algebra, Diff. Eq., Calculus I - III, Statistics Methods (Intro, Psychology, Business), NUR 664 Research II: Biostatistical Applications for Nursing Practice, PRAXIS, GRE math, and College Geometry. One year in freelance technical writing (Maths). One year as an IGCSE Cambridge Mathematics teacher (Honors: Geometry, Statistics, and Algebra) with lesson planning/instructional design/exam design. In early 2016, I began working as a curriculum developer and lead STEM instructor for an international education company which brings children in primary and secondary from schools around the world (Colombia, China, Morocco, France, Costa Rica, Brazil, as Ecuador) to the theme parks of the US, mainly in Florida, so they can learn about the culture of the US and STEM involved in the development of attractions/rides. I am currently completing a TEFL Advanced Certification 160-hour course to add diversity to my experience. My relevant studies for education include multiple Alison Courses Diplomas in Educational Psychology, Teaching Skills for Educators, and Instructional Planning for Successful Teaching. I am also studying a MicroMasters: Leading Educational Innovation and Improvement with an online component at the University of Michigan. Important courses that have developed my mathematical maturity include Linear Algebra, Graph Theory, Complex Calculus, and Advanced Calculus.
My passion for learning mathematics and helping others learn mathematics had stemmed from childhood. As far back as elementary school, there exist memories of helping my peers with their math homework. Having witness and helped the "average" college math student transform into a algebraically, well-refined Differential Equations student has manifested much fulfillment in my life. As my journey continues, it would give me great pleasure to share with you the joy and peace that learning mathematics has created for me.
We will transcend the concepts of your course together at a pace which is suitable for your learning strengths. If you choose to join me in my journey, our goals will be to instill a foundational and functional comprehension of the concepts causing awry and to prepare you for exams. A more in-depth discussion can be had in terms of setting other goals. Godspeed and success in your studies!
